2023 BMW 7 Series Comparison Highlights

The seventh-generation 7 Series sedan continues to be BMW's flagship vehicle for the luxury segment, leading the charge into a new era of sustainability and digitalization, and introducing the first ever all-electric i7 xDrive60.

Many new innovations have been integrated into the 7 Series, and focus on delivering an enhanced driving experience, unmatched long-distance comfort, and cutting-edge digital engagement. And at the center of this on-going initiative is the BMW i7 sedan which offers up to 318 miles of all-electric driving range, a 0 - 60 mph sprint of just 4.5 seconds, and 536 maximum horsepower.

And aside from a few small differences in the front fascia for the i7 due to its lack of need for engine cooling, all of the models in the 7 Series lineup embody BMW's newest design language, which features a prominent kidney grille that supports illumination, along with new two-piece split headlight units. These elements express authenticity while looking to the future of styling and exclusivity for BMW.

But the visual experience doesn't just end with the vehicle's form factor. The 7 Series includes a complex light show as part of its Welcome and Goodbye Scenario. When you initially approach the car, the BMW kidney grille surround lights up, followed by the BMW crystal headlights. Then, you're welcomed to the doors by a dynamic light carpet as four graphics are projected onto the ground, one after another. This dance of light continues on the inside as you enter the vehicle, surrounding you with choreography that emphasizes the luxury and technology of the 7 Series.

Once seated inside the sedan, you'll find yourself transported to a serene and luxurious lounge setting with ample room, especially in the rear seating area. With the Executive Lounge option, the rear seats are upgraded to feature a reclining function and integrated leg rest, and are further enhanced with a quilted and heated center armrest complete with glass insert and wireless phone charging.

The 7 Series also takes in-car entertainment to unmatched levels of quality and convenience. For the driver and front passenger, BMW's intuitive and fast iDrive 8 system offers connectivity and engagement via a large BMW Curved Display. But the real show, quite literally, is in the rear passenger area thanks to a new 31-inch BMW Theater Screen with 8K resolution, 5G connectivity, and Amazon Fire TV built in. This expansive display folds down from the headliner area and lets you maximize your time in the 7 Series with live-streaming entertainment.

This type of thoughtful application of technology can also be seen in the extended Parking Assistant Professional package. This new feature for the 2023 model year gives you the ability to guide the 7 Series into and out of a parking space while outside of the vehicle and from the convenience of your smartphone.
